FOUR SUSPECTED BOKO HARAM TERRORIST WERE ARRESTED BY THE EDO STATE POLICE COMMAND.







The police command of Edo State arrested four suspects of the BOKO HARAM terrorist on thursday 16th may 2019.
A report states that these suspects escaped  and came into the state after carrying out operations in Kogi State.
The state Commissioner of Police, Mohammed DanMalla , revealed the development while speaking with NAN in Benin.
Mohammed DanMalla said that the insurgents were apprehended; following a given piece of information about their hide-out in Afuze Edo North Senatorial District.
He said that during their interrogation, one of the suspects said they have killed 40 of his victims, while another revealed that he escaped from Koton Karfi Prison in 2014 and also was involved in an armed robbery in Ekiti in 2013.
Mohammed DanMalla  stated that the suspects would be handed over to the Kogi State Police Command for further investigations as the crimes were carried out in their state.
He claimed that since the inauguration of “Operation Puff Adder” in the state, the command has recorded achievements in the fight against crime and criminality.
He further revealed that the command has arrested 34 suspects in connection with armed robbery, and four others arrested in connection with kidnapping.
Mohammed DanMalla  also stated that 32 suspected cultist was arrested with 10 different arms and 215 ammunitions were recovered.
He revealed that nine victims were rescued from suspected kidnappers, while 11 vehicles were also recovered.
While speaking on the clash by cult groups in Benin on Monday, he debunked the report that no life was lost in the clash.
“We arrested two of them who are still with us and under investigation because they are from rival groups.”

BOY COUGHT STEALING WOMAN'S PANT AT OSUN STATE

A 19 years boy on Monday was sentenced to 6 years in prisonment for allergedly being cought stealing  a woman's under wear at osun state. he was said to have been taking these under wear to some Yahoo boys where he would be paid some reasonable amount of money. Magistrate Rofiat Olayemi sentenced the convict without any option to pay fine. The Prosecutor, Insp. Jafani Musilimi, had told the court that the convict committed the offence on January 28, at about 10 a.m. at No. 12, Ibokun Road, Oja-Oba area, Osogbo. Musilimi said the convict broke into the apartment of one Folashade Ganiyu and stole three underpants belonging to her inside her bathroom. “The convict also stole a Techno mobile phone belonging to the complainant. The prosecutor said the offence contravened the provisions of sections 412 and 249(d) of the Criminal Code, Cap 34, Vol. 11, Laws of Osun, 2002.
