Explosion in Egypt Injures 16 People Near Giza Pyramids

A couple walk along a road at the Giza pyramids necropolis on the southwestern outskirts of the Egyptian capital Cairo on December 29, 2018.At least 16 people were injured when an explosive device targeted a tourist bus near the Giza pyramids in Egypt, said Hanaa Serour, an official at the Health Ministry.
Some of the wounded were foreign nationals, according to Mohammed El-Saghir, head of police investigations in Giza’s al-Haram neighborhood. The blast occurred in front of a museum that’s under construction, and there was no immediate claim of responsibility.
Militant groups in Egypt have repeatedly targeted tourists. In 2015, an Islamic State affiliate bombed a Russian airliner carrying holidaymakers from a Red Sea resort, killing all 224 people on board.
Last December, three Vietnamese tourists and a local guide were killed by a roadside blast around the same area of greater Cairo as Sunday’s explosion.

IMO lawmakers tells Ihedioha "use EFCC to recover looted funds and properties

The Imo State House of Assembly, on Monday, told the Emeka Ihedioha the state governor to employ the services of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission and other anti-graft agencies to recover state “looted funds and government properties including government house generator which was carted away.” The lawmakers also asked the governor to suspend all board appointments including the promotion of permanent secretaries by the immediate past governor, Rochas Okorocha from March 2019.
